Will we ever see fewer sanctioning bodies?

I'll be completely honest, I don't know much about the business side of boxing. But is there ever any chance of a larger sanctioning body taking over or buying out a smaller one? I think we can all agree that the fewer sanctioning bodies would be better for the sport(I'm talking mainly about the 4 major bodies)

Is there ever any chance of this happening? If so, which would be the first to go? Which would be most likely to take over another sanctioning body?

I'd like to see the WBO and the IBF combine into one, and the same with the WBA and WBC. Two sanctioning bodies and a unification fight every two years would be perfect.

i could see something like that happening, but there would probably have to be a lot of money involved.

But it would have to be when boxing is REALLY in trouble and something HAS to be done.

Thats why some people say boxing will only improve once its practically dead.

it seems that boxing is alot like a regular person. They must first hit rock bottom to see the errors in their ways and then decide to make change to see that it doesnt happen again.

One thing, too many people with to much time and money invested to allow somebody else to take control. The only way that I see any change being possible is if the fighters stuck together and made it change. While the promoters and big television companies believe that they are the **** in boxing, with out the fighters they would have nothing.
