you'll be happy to read this off of espn.com- it looks like he's going to make a serious stride at getting back to the 215 ballpark for his weight. i think it might be a little too late now- but this is the first time i've seen it straight from the horses mouth, which is why i found it interesting.
"I feel good," Toney said. "I'm ready to go. I hate being inactive. I want to get back to fighting regularly. I've been training and doing my thing. I've been staying ready and trying to get my weight down like it was against [Evander] Holyfield."
In that fight, when he permanently joined the heavyweight ranks, Toney was 217 pounds and in excellent condition. His weight steadily increased, and he was 234 for the Peter rematch.
"I need to get back to 215 and then all hell will break lose again," Toney said. "I fed into the BS about being a heavyweight and needing to be big. It's my own fault, but now I'm looking forward to bigger and better things. I have a few great years left."
