    Winky Wright's legacy

I know you all don't think much of Wright but I give the man very good props. He has beaten almost all on comers and great legends.

If Wright wins against Hopkins and De La Hoya, I will rank him among the greats like SRL/Hearns/Duran/Hagler. And he rematches Taylor and finally gets the win against the judges, that will put him right over the top.

i got mad respect for winky. what i like about him is that he's a normal quiet boxer. never talks **** about nobody. and his defense is awsome. nothing but respect.

Great fighter and sure HOF'er but i don't know about putting him up in the league with the Fab 4. The best names on his resume were soundly beaten previously, and a bit past their prime when Winky fought them. Not to say that Wright wouldn't have defeated them anyway, but it does "hurt" those victories a little bit.

Hes fought alot of smaller guys that blew up. BHop should debunk this whole thing. Although I do give him the W vs. Vargas.

Actually most people respect Wright so I don't agree when you say you all don't think much of Wright!

Most people put Wright in top 4 P4P list and that includes most of the haters.

I think Winky is one of the best and if he beats Hopkins, which I think he will, he has to be looked at as one of the best boxers of this era. My P4P list would have Winky at #2.
