DLH-MAYWEATHER: They really have promoted this fight well

I have tons of friends that when i go up to them, mention a big fight thats going on this weekend, they tell me they never heard of it.

Bad promoting.

Partly because the Promoters are afraid they wont earn any of that money back from the fight.

But GOLDENBOY promotions has really dont a great job getting this fight out there. The day is easy to remember, its cinco de mayo. They've done everything they possibly could in getting this fight knows to the public and to the casual/non fan.

Its really amazing how boxing is COMPLETELY overlooked for 99% of this decade, but for these particular months, mostly everyone i now is interested.

yea, i hear you. i was in pharmacy tech class the other day and halfway through class (during the 10 minute break) we started talking about food and how hungry we were. one of my classmates was just taking about a baja style BBQ he was gonna have in a couple weeks, and after asking what the occasion was, he mentions he's got everyone going to his house for the "oscar" fight. out of nowhere, our entire side of the room starting talking about it, and the buzz felt like tyson vs lewis all over again.
