Thats very sad you think like that.I watch boxing to see competitive fights not to see people sent out round after round to take a beating when there is no chance to win.Pretty much all of those guys in the ring come from poverty and i respect them and hope that they manage to leave the sport well off financially and healthy.Theres nothing entertaining about seeing a guy beaten round after round with no chance at victory just so some people will be entertained by a brutal one sided beating. If you don't care if the fighters live or die then you care nothing for the sport and the fighters.

If you speak spanish you would of understood the trainer telling Freitas that the Fight is over. The translator got it wrong the translator said "The Fight Isn't over". Pac wouldn't be able to hurt Diaz at 135, so I think Diaz would get him TKO. Casamayor on the other hand will be a handfull for Diaz.

Can't believe he quit. Really ruined an entertaining fight. I could see him getting frustrated but he was still in the fight. Pluus he rocked Dia on more than one occasion.

          thats what happens
          the old times say it
we just hadnt seen it in a while
wed been fortunate and seen so many fighters who could over come fights like that
but when some fighters have fights like he did with barrios
they just arent the same afterwards
they leave a part of themselves
          it changes them
whether they want to or not
its obvious hed want to continue "career"
          he just cant
          its a shame

damn id really be surprised if popo ever gonna be in a big fight again.
he should go and play soccer instead.

this is total contrast to the suico-diaz fight. randy suico was battered but never quit.

Any surprise? Only an idiot picked Freitas after his terrible showing against Raheem, he was finished after Corrales gave him a beatdown. But even if he was'nt i would always pick Diaz against him, Styles make fights, Diaz is a stylistic nightmare for him.

Freitas still fought like a warrior. No shame what so ever.

Even if he said he wanted to quit, I don't blame him.

He got badly hurt in that last round and I don't know how he stayed up till the bell.

I think a big part of it is frustration. Early in his career at 130 Freitas just got used to being able to wipe his opponents out with a single shot (or series of shots). He had that long KO streak to begin his career. Now at 135 a kid like Diaz is taking clean shots from Freitas, but isnt getting detered (same with Corrales) and keeps coming, so self doubt and frustration enter into Acelino's psyche.
