I'm white and I wouldn't consider myself a rap fan. Occasionally I see some lyrical intelligence from certain rappers - Tech N9ne, Nas, Mos Def, Jay-Z. They have all shown a good grasp on the world around them in their rap- making it beat driven poetry. While I wouldn't put 50's lyrics in the same category as the better rappers he does have a distinctive slurring style that is easy on the ears. I'm not sure why people hate him so much. Just like every other musician and actor out there he subscribes to a label. That doesn't bother me. If he wants to be the bad-boy thug of rappers...fine.

Why all the hate for Mayweather? Are people really that gullible? HBO allows him to paint himself in a certain light, to create a plot-line to accompany the actual fight, and everyone buys it? I have no problem with Floyd Mayweather Jr. and no problem with 50 cent. If they want to be "villians" then so be it. It makes people talk about them - and talk sells. So they're winning based on this thread.

As far as 50 betting a cool million on Floyd..well...he must really have some faith in the guy. I don't care who you are- 1,000,000 is a good chunk of change. The only thing more telling than betting cash on your friend is this song that 50 is using as Floyd's entrance music. Making a line in the song like 'taking cash to the bank after betting on the pretty boy- de la hoya fell like a mutha ****in child's toy' is much more serious. Imagine releasing a single with a line like that, having faith in your friend, and then watching him lose? Talk about having your foot in your mouth....
