lamon brewster: how can't you like this guy?

Brewster's a respectable guy but I think he's too 'modest.' When asked about his prediction on the outcome of this fight, he said "a victory" when he should have said I'm going KO his ass like I did the first time...

That aside, I think that this fight will be more one sided than everyone thinks. Sure, Brewster's got a good punch, has alot heart and has a good chin, but in the defense department he's about as incompetant as Don Rumsfield.. He was exposed big time by Liakhovich, who's a good boxer, but with Wlad he will not be able to stand up to his power shots. I'm predicting a mid round total destruction by the champ.

......I just don't like him because he was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time against Wlad. Skill wise he's **** and can't outbox anyone. He has a ton of heart though but that will be his downfall.

Lamon and God

It doesn't bother me at all to hear Lamon talk about God - I think it takes courage for him to be openly religious, because some people will ridicule him for it. It is far better to be a God-fearing man like Lamon, than a boxer who goes to prison like Tyson and Morrison. He's been a better role model for young boxing fans than those guys were.

...I agree with what your saying to an extent, but Tommy was in prison on a bum rap. Tyson got there honestly. Even if he didn't snatch that girls ass, which he did, he was still a ****ing thug and a clown and he was heading towards prison anyway. Admitting that you believe in God is definitely putting a bullseye on your back nowadays.

because people are sick of people praising god to their advantage, as opposed to letting him do his work and praise him for just allowing you to exist as a man. Especially when ******* politicians use it to convince voters that god has given them their party of canidate a divine right and then try to say "people hate me because i openly talk about god!". thats the kind of **** people are tired of.

I'm sure he will be paid well. Wlad is starting to become a fairly significant draw, so Brewster will probably get seven figures for fighting him.

I don't know if Wlad will knock him out as early as the 3rd round, I do see it being a one sided fight. I think Brewster needs to just go wild in the early rounds and hope to land a bomb. Brewster has a chin. I actually see it being similar to Wlad's fight with Byrd in the sense that it will be a beating that will end around the 7th, 8th, 9th rounds. Like with Byrd, everyone will be very impressed with Brewster's courage but he won't be competitive.
