The reason the fighters on the contender arn't that good is because when they select who is going to be on the show they intentionally don't take best fighters. If they start with like 100 prospective fighters they throw out right away who they access as like the top 25 and bottom 25 then mix match the middle 50.

this can only be good for manfredo and anyone who thought that stoppage was less than a hometown gift does not have my respect as a boxing fan. Manfredo was not hurt enough during Joe's barrage to warrant a stoppage and was still ducking and dodging with success. Boxing is a sport where any man still on his feet can be victorious and Manfredo was robbed of that for the sake of of one mans continued success. Manfredo may not be champion material but that was not learned from the Calzaghe fight.

Manfredo is horrible as are all contender fights. Supporting that show is like going downtown and paying two bums to duke it out. It's immoral.

Spoken like a true fella who doesn't appreciate the sport or lesser known fighters. Make a bad name for real boxing fans who love boxing for what it is and in all respects.

That being said, the whole "Contender" theme needs to get dropped cause it's tired.
