I think good boxers might not be too scared of him right now because they know They'll have their shot to K.O. him because of how he fights. He's Very ****y and seems like he loves to trade. He drops his hands whenever he wants to and does alot of EXTRA stuff thats he doesn't need to do. He has power but Decent head movement will negate that... and if their power punchers Litzau will get K.O.'d if he doesn't learn to box and be patient.

but all that stuff makes his Fights good.. thats why he's making the money...
Paulie Mallinaggi would be a very interesting fight but thats Far away.
The kid definetly has skill,he just needs discipline like you said.

BTW Da1CATAS,your a ****ing big dude!Do you box?

He's certainly highly flawed and will get knocked the **** out against most top names... but isn't that his appeal? None of the handful of Litzau fights that I have seen have been anything close to what you can call boring. Its all been really good stuff from an entertainment perspective, which is what he seems to actually care about.

He definitely seems to care more about being an action fighter and a crowd pleaser than being a world champ. Which is good because I like watching his fights for the excitement factor and also his messing around. Teddy Atlas was right when he said if Litzau fights the elite opponents he wouldn't do so well because he is undiciplined. He has the skills and physical attributes to contend for a belt, but his undiciplined style will probably catch up to him against top quality opponents.

Knew it was going to be a soft touch for a comeback fight, so I didnt have much interest in watching it. I was changing it back and forth, between the fight & Shear Genius. Watching the lady cut someones hair with hedge clippers, was more interesting.

my friend was in the corner of an off tv bout (the joey abell fight) and he said the day before he was having a drink with Pernell Whitaker and he said that Sweet Pea told him that Litzau couldn't hang with his training and wasn't going to continue to work with him. i guess they brought Sweet Pea in for a bit of training on defense but Sweet Pea said that Litzau didn't want to play ball so much.

i find that funny, not taking the training or advise of one of the best fighters of the recent generation, what is Litzau thinking. from what i was told was that Sweet Pea was there for a brief time and had enough of Litzau's ego. my friend isnt one to lie especially since he likes Litzau.

but that would explain the whole dropping real low and squating during the fight by Litzau, he was trying to be like Sweet Pea and looked far from it.

i thought that it was a good fight for Litzau, a tough fight not some push over, the guy didn't let Jason take his lunch he made him earn it, and Litzau was open for the right hand all night long, his competition was basically the same as last time just this guy was a tad bit older, but the same as far as skill, at least it seemed that way.

in order for Litzau do to anything of real significance he needs to remain focused, be more dicisplined, better defense from the right hand, and needs to be able to learn as he goes instead of thinking that his same fight style is going to work everytime out........................

litzau's fun to watch, but hes got no chin. being an exciting brawler with a weak chin isnt a very good combination.

His fights are always entertaining but he has no defense...if he was fighting a stronger boxer he would have been ko'd again,,,,also did anyone see how he slurs his speech when he talked in the prefight interview,,,,I think he's already suffering some brain damage,,,,
