-The only name on Mosley's record is DLH and Mayweather just beat him. Forrest has really fallen off since beating Mosley and Vargas was done when Mosley got to him.

-Winky Wright has made his name fighting smaller men. Mayweather has made his name fighting bigger men. I give the edge to Mayweather.

-Hopkins resume is terrible. All he is known for is his 20 defenses. Another fighter who picked on smaller men to make his name.

-Taylor has a good resume for being such a young fighter, but every single fight against a top opponent has been disputed. Mayweather has dominated everyone.

-I think Trinidad and Mayweather have about the same level of opposition, but Mayweather is more accomplished.

    I agree.

The thing is PBF has a resume to be proud of and it is comparable to anyones out there. But PBF is talented and he can achieve more. While he is able to, he should. I think people want to know how truly ambitious he is?

His resume and accomplishments are matched by only the very best in boxing today. To move up 5 divisions, win lineal championships in 3 divisions, and still remain undefeated is very impressive...

Floyd wants to give these years to his kids. **** I'd like to see him fight on. But no one on these forums is going to convince him to come back. Money and hunger can only bring him back. He believes he has left his mark. Without a doubt IMO the most SKILLED boxer in his generation. Arguably the best boxer in it.

Oscar De La Hoya, Roy Jones Jr., James Toney and Evander Holyfield all have better resumes in terms of good wins than Mayweather, but PBF has no losses and he's a lot younger than those guys.

Joe Calzaghe's resume is about equal to PBF, but again, Mayweather is younger.

Ricky Hatton's resume is very good, despite all the hate he receives, but Floyd has a couple more good wins. When age is considered their resumes are about equal - if Hatton has a few more good wins the next couple of years, he will catch up.

Mosely's wins are about equal to PBF's, but Mayweather's resume is better than Mosely's because there are no losses. Mayweather has the potential to far surpass Mosely's wins by the time he's Shane's age.

If Mayweather continues on until he is 36 or so he will have easily the best resume of all modern day boxers. Only Hatton (or possibly Mikkel Kessler) has a chance of catching him, but Hatton must maintain a healthier lifstyle or he will decline too early.

And Hatton would have to hope that he is not one of the names on PBF's resume at the end of it all. Fighters that have better resumes are hard to come by and if you do they usually have losses or are old. Holyfield has the best resume out there but he's really old and has lots of losses.

Only DLH has a clearly better resume. Who has 5 wins better than Mayweather's top 5?

                      DLH
                      Jose Luis Castillo twice
                      Genaro Hernandez
                      Chico Corrales
                      Zab Judah
