OK...So this is gonna be a prediction league that focusses on UK boxing, but it will have big fights from the US and Europe too. It's a one thousand points buy in, first twenty people to give points gets in, if we don't get twenty people by Thursday it'll be the people we have up until then.
Winner gets 7,500, 2nd gets 4,000, third gets 3000, fourth gets 2000, fifth gets their 1,000 back. Fifth to tenth get 500 each.
Each week the high score gets the interest from the points in the bank. I get about 700 points a week from interest so far so it'll be about that.
Is this OK? If people want it to be more then fair enough but after what happened with the points in the other prediction league I think this is more about kudos than points and it's a bit of fun. But like I say if people want the stakes raising then we can do that.
When you donate your points also get your predictions for this week in. The points will work like this - two points for getting the winner right, one point for getting whether its points or a knockout, then one point for guessing the round or whether it was a UD, SD or MD or a DQ. No contests will not be counted. KOs and TKOs will be viewed as one and the same.
Predictions in by midnight on the Thursday before the fights at the latest. Once you've posted your predictions you can't change em. Anyone that edits their posts or doesnt get their predictions in will be eliminated in place of whoever got the lowest score that week.
OK!!!
So the fights for this week are:
Peter Oboh vs Toney Okey - 12 rounds British light heavyweight title.
David Haye vs Tomasz Bonin - 12 rounds heavyweight.
Yuri Romanov vs Tonto Tontchev - 12 rounds European lightweight title.
Javier Castillejo vs Felix Sturm - 12 rounds WBA middleweight title
Acelino Freitas vs Juan Diaz - WBO and WBA lightweight titles
Good luck everyone...if anyone decides to join lol
