    Getting friends into boxing...

Obviously the upcoming DLH-PBF fight will be huge, and if it's a good fight can turn many casual boxing fans into more serious fans, or make casual fans of people who don't watch boxing at all.

But until then(and after, if the fight doesn't live up to the hype) what fights can I show my friends to excite them about boxing? I'm thinking...
    Gatti/Ward I
    Pacquiao/Morales(II or III)
    Ali/Foreman
    Hagler/Hearns

What are some of the other great fights that I should show my friends to help introduce them to boxing?

It seems like it deludes my friends when I show them a bunch of great fights. They expect every fight to be a slugfest.

I say if they can't appreciate the sweet science of boxing, then they'll never be a fan.

Dont just show great action fights.

Show some slower tactical ones too and explain the subtleties to them as it goes. This way when they come up on a slower fight they can appreciate it too and not be let down.

I show my friends training videos like Floyd hitting the mitts and that usually pumps them up about boxing.

I always had a hard time getting friends into boxing. Take them to the gym, punch 'em in the nose and they had had it.

Trying to talk to them about fighters, current or old school is impossible.

I try to get my wife interested, but the only fighter she knows the name of is Oscar De La Hoya.....

I say "I am watching boxing tonight, wanna watch?" and she responds "Ooooo Oscar De La Hoya".... I just sigh and say "Nevermind"
