Some great posts. Alot of people hate PBF because of his outside the ring rep. Thats fine. He WANTS you to hate him. I personally don't care what the two men do outside of the ring. Thats their busniess. Both DLH and PBF are great inside of the ring, and thats all that matters to me.

And Floyd wasn't charged of beating 4 woman and found guilty of 3??Have you ever read a story without some conflict? Without a villain, or a hero who had to overcome and obstacle- or a goal that seemed impossible to attain? No? Every story had to suck you in with a struggle- and it has to state that struggle explicitly or some people will miss it.
So what has HBO done? With the help of Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De la Hoya they have created a tale in which a ****y, brash young buck who runs his mouth and thinks he is amazing faces a grizzled, respectful veteran who wants to continue his career. They are feeding it to you and you are eating it.
Why do you guys forget all the times before this when Floyd did not run his mouth 1/10th as much as he is now. How about when he always did, as all boxers do, after the fight acknowledge he respected his opponent and was simply selling a fight. Floyd is not that bad.
How about Oscar? Remember the **** charges that he made disappear quietly when he settled with the woman out of court? How about the four kids with four different women other than his wife? How about all the comments from boxers who say Oscar has a big ego? Loves money? Hmm?
Is it hard to believe that Floyd is a materialistic, brash young boxer facing a materialistic, egotistical older boxer? That both men are, by and large, the same type of people? Well, they are. Stop buying the HBO hype.
This can be a good fight without Oscar being the prince of boxing and without Floyd being the bad guy. They are just two men who are going to fight. Focus on that- not their personality, or words, or anything irrelevant. Don't let the hype job suck you in. This is a great fight without the bull**** HBO is piling on it to get the casual fan interested.Comment
