I think he falls into the "Flashy & Brash" category.
His style for awhile was very evasive and didnt offer much action.
He thinks too highly of himself.
The first Castillo fight still gnaws at some people all these years later.

Mostly though its because he is currently on top and people in the society like to tear those at the top down.
