Margarito-Williams May Land on Gatti's Return

HBO and promoter Dan Goossen made a deal this week for the network to televise the much anticipated welterweight showdown between titlist Antonio Margarito and mandatory challenger Paul Williams from a West Coast venue to be determined. The fight will be part of a rare split-site card, probably July 14, when it would be paired with coverage from Atlantic City, N.J., of welterweight Arturo Gatti's return. HBO and Gatti promoter Main Events continue to battle over his opponent. A less likely possibility is that HBO will pair it with same-day taped coverage from Germany of heavyweight titlist Wladimir Klitschko's July 7 rematch against Lamon Brewster. [details]

I hope it goes down in L.A. so I can watch Williams give Margarito a beating from ringside...

I think HBO is kicking ass this year with their free fights, I thought showtime had the better fights last year but HBO is killing Showtime this year and it's not even close!
