Who is the best heavyweight prospect?

What young heavyweight is the most likely to become a titleholder in two or three ears? Who has the most potential?

If it's someone not on the list, post the fighter's name.

Of the current hw prospects, IMO Povetkin has the most potential and marketability, because of his tough brawling-like style and "killer instinct" to go for the KO when most other prospects are just content to get the "W."

I'd say in a year from now, at the rate he's going, Povetkin could get into the top 10 hw's.

I voted Boytsov because he's a killer, but I haven't seen some of the other guys.

Go to youtube and watch Povetkin...and then come back to this thread and change you vote. Trust me Kayjay, you'll like this guy.

I just watched him beat David Bostice; that was very impressive. He can box a bit but he like to mix it up, apparently. Boytsov is raw by comparison, Povetkin is indeed the better vote here.

Povetkin has the most potential, but Arreola is my favorite to watch.

Arreola might make some noise - he's marketable and well-connected (Al Haymon is his advisor). But he might have to go the same route as Lamon Brewster (my favorite heavyweight), sort of backing into a world title and then making the most of what you have while near the top.

Povetkin can get there on talent alone, which is why he's my pick.

There is little doubt that he has the killer instinct. But what about skill? Although he has been taking too many hits so far, that is largely because of his weak opposition. Once he steps up to a better grade of boxer, like Krasniqi, he is going to find out why Minto shold have learned to move his head.
