Pound for pound maybe but for me he'll just be too small and maybe to inexperienced to cope with calzaghe. He may not be the best at the weight joe has fought some good fighters despite what ppl like to believe.

Taylor is a ***in Middleweight. Joe should fight guys his own size. Hes way too big and fast for Taylor.

This will be another mismatch IMO

No I think Woodhall is a better technician and tactician. And Lacy was considered the best fighter to come out of the 2000 US Olympic team, remember.

Taylor might be the best athlete, I mean he got all the way to the middleweight champion of the world with two punches (jab and right hand), with a huge leap up in class. He's got good speed of delivery, good power, and had an extremely good jab pre-Hopkins. He's good. But I'd go with Woodhall and Lacy.

you could say that taylor is the best fighter that calzaghe has fought to date ( if they fight!?), as far as someone being in close to their prime, but taylor isnt the best fighter available for joe, that is for sure.

but if they fought i'd take joe, taylors experience is nothing compared to calzaghe's, and has never seen a fighter like joe inisde the ring. taylor can't fight on the inside and would be befuddled by the hand speed of calzaghe and the fast combo's.

joes non stop punching and activity would be far more than taylor could keep up with at this point.

taylor woldn't be able to keep calzaghe off him. taylor couldn't keep hopkins off him and hopkins threw, although he landed more than taylor, but hopkins threw minimal punches against taylor and was effective on the inside as well as beating taylor to the punch from the outside, joe would do the same just with more volume, and since that is what taylors judges like to look at(i.e. both hopkins fights) taylor would lose at his own game. throwing a lot of punches whether they landed or not.

taylor isnt ready for a fight with calzaghe yet, and calzaghe and his peeps know this, that is why they have been calling him out. i like taylor but he's still hype at this point.

almost the american equivalent of joe calzaghe, hand picked opponents, strong promotional backing as well as HBO backing (in taylors case, other for joe), officiating support, marketing hype in his home country like joe, and fighting guys smaller or out of his league...............................
