From the pole here it looks like Dana White from the UFC was right in questioning whether Mayweather could sell 6 tickets without Oscar.

Oscar is definatly boxing's star and is the feature guy. Thats why he's getting the most money and making all the calls.

However, alot of you guys sound like complete idiots. All of these fans keep acting like this is the same Floyd from 4 years ago. Dude has grown alot. You talk to anyone and all of them know who he is. He's not some bum who cant sell nothing. A ton of people know Floyd, e****ally in the hip hop community.

You also have to give Floyd credit for this fight as well. Its the same thing he said about the Gatti fight. Gatti may be the man but there not selling out the arena in a matter of hours just because its Gatti. Oscar is the man but this isnt maybe the biggest fight in boxing history just because its Oscar. Floyd carries alot in these fights. He's the P4P champ, he's the guy who's undefeated, he's the guy who is with 50 cent, he's the guy that the rappers name in there song, and he's the guy regarded as the #1 fighter in the game.

You guys dont think that carries any weight? You guys dont think the casual fan respects that? Even if they dont know him, as soon as people tell them that he is regarded as the best, he's undefeated, and he's the favored, then everyone wants to see that but most of them still know who he is by now

Thats B.S. and you know it. If you look at Floyd's PPV numbers, his is better then nearly anyone not named Oscar. He sells just as much and alot of times more then the 4 headed monster of EM, MAB, Pac, & JMM. There having huge fights with eachother and he can put up there numbers fighting regular guys.

Also, selling **** is so overrated. How many guys really sell anyway? You might think your boys sell well but its only because there PR. Its just like alot of Mexicans. If Floyd was Mexican or PR then he would sell huge.

Then look at a guy like Cotto who always fights in PR or in NY. I guess that means he's a great selller, right? Its just like Gatti figthing in AC. Anyone can put up huge numbers at home. If Floyd fought in Michigan every fight then he would pack the house every time but there are no Casinos in Michigan so they dont let him fight there

DLH is the bigger draw, you also have to consider many people will buy the fight to watch Floyd get his head kicked in.

Until he fights Oscar, he's a relatively unknown fighter to the general public outside of die hard boxing fans and HBO fanboys who were on Gatti's nuts. That's just the bottom line.

For such a nobody, he got about as many buys with Baldomir as each of the Pacquiao-Morales fights. I guess they are both total unknowns too...
