    Who would beat Calazaghe?

There's been a lot of threads lately about The Blow and who he should be fighting that he's not, who's on the radar and so on. And whilst we want to see him pitched in with any of the big four named above, who do we think WOULD beat him. Not COULD beat him but actually who would you put big money on to defeat Joe?

Personally I wouldnt be confident in any of them having enough...

    Winky - too small
Hopkins - too old and not busy enough
Taylor - too green and too slow
Kessler - you couldn't build a fighter more tailor made for Calzaghe

Hopkins and Taylor would have a chance. I'd favour Calzaghe against all 4 though.

You know what, i havent seen Taylor properly so i dont know about him,

        I have actually picked 'none',

Even at this stage he got too much speed for Hopkins, Hopkins dont like volume Punchers, yeah he is cagey, but if Joe took speed up to 170 and above i would pick him over Winky and Hopkins, those guys aint gonna have enough time to get set and throw shots, especially a guy like Hopkins, who tends not to throw too many punches per round.

Havent Seen Kessler, not a priority of mine, Arce comes first lol, so what Kessler beat Markus 'boom boom' Beyer, an old one at that, that doesnt = a win over JC.

If you'd have put Roy Jones in the poll, well, thats another matter, if Roy can retain majority of his past reflexes, JC is made for him.

          i have voted kessler..

calzaghes speed is very overrated, and his power is declining due to age and fragile hands.. i think kessler has all the tools to take out calzaghe..
kesslers speed compared to joe´s is underrated, and this will in my opinion surprise a lot of people, and in the end kesslers power will be the deciding factor..

dont think calzaghes slapping will have such a big effect on kessler, whether its boxing from the inside or outside.. i will give calzaghe the slight advantage if he can make it into an inside fight, kessler havent been involved in much of this, but i doubt that this will be a fight on only joe´s condition..

i will be a thrillign fight, but this one goes to kessler..

I think that they would all have a chance of beating him.

I dont think that any of them would though.

They all have chance but guys like JT have got to pluck up the courage to. Dont worry JT....Joe wont hurt you very much. Didnt u hear what Manfredo said about Joes power. The referee is always on hand to save u from further punishment as well Jt so stop asking silly money for boxing Joe who u have a chance against.

Hopkins and Kessler are the ones with the best shot.

Wow tech i almost agreed with u then u ruined it! A jones in is prime JC fight would've been a great one the 2 of them are both so quick as JC speed is not overrated as somebody stated see him live wow they're some quick hands. I would agree all would have a chance but i wouldn't pick any of them to pull it off B Ho is too old kessler is perfect for Joe and the others are too small.

I agree, and I think that the fact that (other than Hopkins) almost all of Taylor's fights have been against junior middle's would count against him with Joe, who is a big super middle. Same for Winky, he's had relatively few fights at middle having spent a career at 154, and could probably still make 154.
