Agreed.
People read way too much into phyiscal appearance, especially given the point made here about the Cotto picture being outdated.
Remember what people were saying after the weigh-ins for Jones-Tarver II and even Tarver-Jones III? Jones looked great and Tarver looked...well...like Tarver, he's never been 'ripped'. Well, we all know what happened.
Cotto's chin hasn't been an issue at welterweight at all thus far, and while he definitely hasn't been in there with a puncher like Zab, Quintana landed some flush shots that are much harder than Malignaggi shots...and Paulie staggered Cotto late in their fight. The difference to me is clear, Cotto is a very strong welterweight, and he will be able to weather an early storm from Zab, in my opinion.
I think he will then take the fight right out of Judah with the body attack and finish Judah late in the fight. There's no question this will be a good fight, though.Comment

Paulie never staggered cotto in that fight. I was there that night & I have the DVD which I've watched like 10 times. Look at it again.Agreed.

Well, I watched the fight between Paulie and Miguel too, and it sure looked to me like Paulie was rockin Cotto. This is going to be a great matchup! I still say Zab wins it by a TKO Round 7....Comment

wow, this is the 1st time you have actually made some sense. I think they both will hit the canvas maybe. If Zab can take getting hit and not lose focus when he gets hurt or tired, it will definitely be wide decision. Zab just has better hands, better footwork, and just the better athlete.I like Judah to win,I don't think he is going to stop Cotto but he will probably drop him and hopefully not get dropped himself. He will probably fight smart and cautiously like he did against Mayweather but Cotto won't have the answer.Judah UD fairly wide.....117-111 if there are no KDs.Comment

I thought I saw Cotto get staggered in that fight, but by no means am I saying I know for a fact he was hurt.
If you're right, that strengthens my argument. Cotto's chin hasn't been an issue since the Torres fight, then, since he rolled through Branco, Malignaggi, Quintana and Urkal, taking flush shots from each of them.
AGAIN, I know Zab hits a lot harder than all these guys, but people made Cotto out to have a glass chin and that simply isn't the case. Like I said, he will have to weather a heavy early storm from Judah, and he may even get decked, but I see him bouncing back and winning via stoppage in the late rounds.Comment

In a rematch, I would pick Paulie to win a close decision.
With that said, I'm thinking Cotto is going to stop Zab late or win a decision.Comment

That's exactly the way I call the fight. There's going to be a feeling out process in the beginning.I thought I saw Cotto get staggered in that fight, but by no means am I saying I know for a fact he was hurt.
