One of the greatest tactical and competitive fights ever is James Toney vs Mike McCallum. If you want to see a thing of beauty, watch that.

Then you will truly know how far James has fallen as his weight has increased.

I was sure he was going to be dispatched once he went to HW, he's just not big enough (his punch anyway), and he's also in the twighlight of his career.

But he hangs with these guys, and beats most.

And he's toughness can be compared to Ali's.

      i like his skill level

roy jones jr, because of the aura of invincibilty he once had...

plus the guy fights with so much speed and in his early days also a lot of power...

i gotta go with Manny Pacquiao, his style is very exciting, hes got plenty of power, always in good fights, and one of the top fighters in boxing right now. Also fought his way through the ranks the hard way, goin pro a month after turning 17 and even winning a world title before he even turned 20.

My all time favorite boxer is Sugar Ray Leonard. I grew up watching him and he was the Home town hero I was born in the same city, Wilmington, NC. Loved his fighting style which is probably why I like/d watching Roy Jones and Floyd Mayweather fight because they are a little similar. Always been a fan of guys who box and move and can do things in the ring that just make other guys look silly.

He was just naturally gifted. A complete and explosive fighter. A man with class and a hip dresser who lived life to the fullest. Sort of like a superhero: Mild mannered family and businessman by day and The king a da Ring by night.

A once in a lifetime fighter.

Ok, I'm jumpin' off his crotch wagon.

              Need I say more?
he also beat his wife. which is a no-no. but who cares. he's dead, he's still the best in my list

                Currently:

                Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Because I'm a fan of talent, and he has all the talent in the world. It's truly amazing. An all time great.

don't have just one, but i'll keep it to less than a handfull of my favorite current fighters:

                  - wladimir klitschko - my main fave right now(used to be vitali and tszyu). beautiful combination of speed and power. has some of the best offensive skills i've ever seen at heavyweight. very entertaining whithout having to act like a clown. highly educated. has a lot of heart and has, thankfully for the sake of the hvywt division, has renewed his passion and dedication for boxing these last few years. not a disgrace - has never gave the division a black eye. and never quits. cool guy as well.

                  - manny pacquiao - he's like a little tiger in the ring. ferocious. relentless. always entertaining. willing to fight the top guys anytime - and there are some made names in his division. seems nice as well.

                  - emanuel augustus - a throwback fighter. has something like 70 fights underneath his belt. has gotten robbed more times than any 2 fighters combined, but still fights on. truly a throwback fighter as he will fight 3 times a month on 3 day notices. love his drunken master boxing. more skillfull than he is recognized for, but doesn't seem to be a ***** about it.

                    Pernell Whitaker and James Toney.

Masters of defense, slick pugilists with big personalities. I have been watching both of them since I was a child. James trained and lived in my hometown for awhile and I have met him a couple of times. Pernell was kind of a hand me down from my dad. He was my dads favorite so he was my favorite and it just stuck. He was a one of a kind fighter.
