  • Carl Froch is the best super-middleweight in the world...

He leans over in that awkward stance and has the longest jab in boxing (when he uses it), he's got alsorts of shots like screw left hands and screw right hands and up-jabs and uppercuts from out of range, hooks from weird angles and custom punches from his waist, arm-punching bodyshots powerful enough to shake you up. He times these shots like no other, and he carries more natural power than any other fighter in boxing. His low-slung left lures opponents in, it's all method, it's not poor defense because he rolls (if he hasn't countered your block off). If you don't take the bait he'll take his time and throw single shots from out of range from silly sorts of angles, and when you back up he'll let his hands go and that's when he's really dangerous. His chin is like stone.

He takes out Calzaghe and/or Kessler if he gets those fights.

        I don't think so.
Kessler would beat him for sure.
        Calzaghe would probably beat him.
Bute might beat him (it could go either way).

Carl Froch would need a ******* to win against either of those fighters. He is by far one of the slowest boxers I've ever seen. I do not know how they have him as a number 3 contender. When, I'm pretty sure lacy, and bika could dispose of this guy with ease. So, Froch takes on a bunch of bums and knocks bums out, and he thinks he's the ****... hahaha.

No one in America knows who the **** Froch is, unless they really into the sport like crazy. People in America do know who Calzaghe/Kessler are though.

i'm sure he'll be no. 1 contender with both the wbc and wbo within a year so he should get his chance. i would like him to fight a top ten fighter first though.

bute is going down the ibf route, inkin will probably fight joe in july without an eliminator, so maybe he should fight jeff lacy who is still ranked higher by the WBA and IBF. froch ko's lacy within 5 rounds.

I've rated Froch since early in his amateur days... However, at the moment he is still only a talent, and needs to have fought the level of fighter that the likes of Calzaghe have fought. That said, i think he would have been a better option for Calzaghe than Manfredo was, and i thought that prior to the Manfredo fight, but obviously Calzaghe wanted more recognition in the States and that's what the Manfredo fight was all about... It never went according to plan.
Apparently Frank Warren has offered Froch a reasonable amount of money to fight Calzaghe.

I like watching froch fight, got loads of power and some brutal body shots. The biggest weakness is his low hands, his defence and needs some more quality fights.
Im afried his stlye will get expossed when he steps up to quality opposition. Like most fighters who fight like this.

How is froch number 3 contender, atleast someone on this forum said he is. With the fighters he has fought? ... Makes no sense to me at all. It's not like any of the fighters he fought were threats.
