Solis came in with a good fight plan - use his reach to out jab Pac.

But he was too slow to react to Pac's rushing attack.

That's why the fight was difficult for both fighters and looked rather clumsy. Solis was awkward to begin with, Pac was rushing and both ended up in a tangled whirl. However, despite the clumsiness, it was still exciting to see. Reason is, Pac was open for a big counter right when he rushed in.

Pac had little choice: Solis was a tall fighter with a long reach. Pac would have lost by UD if he had not attacked. He managed to occasionally tag Solis with his right hook but most of the night, Solis was out of range.

I think Solis would have given Barrera, Morales and even Marquez a hard time as well.

Yeah you can't really discredit Solis. He did survive up to the 8th and I was surprised he stayed down. He conditioned for 3 months and it seemed like Manny didn't connect all that much during the night. Not until those last 2 rounds or so and it's like. What did the guy expect? To not get hit? It's like Manny didn't land anything big all night, and the few he did land really ****ed Solis up. He was either on ***** street or falling down.

No. This was Top Rank PPV. Bob Arum also mentioned afew times that they will not replay this at all. Sort of a way to make sure people bought it that showed the slightest interest in the event.

it was an okay fight....i enjoyed seeing solis gettin knocked out...thought solis was gonna do much better though

what i cant understand is, why was this a ppv fight???

i find this a little funny but the fight was shown about four times for the whole day here in the RP.... talk about addiction...
