yea, it was strange hearing some peoples' interpretations of how the fight was going. They acted like everytime Valuev stuck his jab out there, it landed. Valuev actually landed few jabs compared to what he was throwing, let alone clean ones. when they did hit clean, they actually were pretty damn effective.

Chagaev's punches werent hurting Valuev, but he WAS still landing the cleaner, better shots. Most the time.

I had it 116-112 for Chagaev

I'm relieved that more guys are logging on who saw what I saw. Lame jabs that never landed by Valuev, then perfectly picked one-and-out power shots by Chagaev. 8 rounds to 4 at least, yes.

That's right, Chagaev landed more good punches, and Valuev agreed after the fight that Ruslan deserved the decision. I scored it 115-113 for Chagaev.

Ruslan reminds me of a younger version of Oleg Maskaev, but with a better chin. He'll probably defend the title successfully a few times.

I also scored it 116-112 Chagaev. Valuev pressed the action the whole fight and maybe that's where people think he was effective. However, Chagaev clearly landed many more clean shots and was much more effective at distance, and equal in close. It didn't matter if it is was a lead left or a counter left, Ruslan landed more than he missed and Valuev rarely landed a good shot. I was surprised at the quality of the fight as I thought it might have been a snoozer.

Nah, i still would have liked seeing him fight guys like Klitchko or Peter. I hope he won't retire yet.

Didn't see the fight. Didn't have to. Probably was as hard to watch as paint drying. Heavyweights ain't what they used to be. I can't believe there was a 19 page thread about this fight. You suck heavyweight division. The Brown Bomber would take a dump on all of you. Lennox Lewis would take a dump on you. Big George, The Greatest, Holmes, all of them take cosmic ****s on you. You know why? Because it used to MEAN something. I love boxing... I just hate the circus that the heavyweights have become.
