        I had Chagaev 117-112

Valuev threw a lot of punches but never landed anything meaningful. Chagaev landed a good number of clean lefts that admittedly did not hurt the big man, but frustrated him. I thought I was scoring generously for Valuev. I don't understand how only one judge scored the way I did.

It seemed to me like a draw. The fight could have been scored either way.

          Congratulations to Ruslan Chagaev!

Things get more interesting with Chagaev winning the title. I think Chagaev can beat many other title holders.

Thank God, the scare that Valuev would reach 50-0 is over. To me, that fight wasnt even close. I had Chagaev winning 10-2. Valuev looked very tired at the end. Great work by Chagaev, he did a great job of keeping away from Valuev for most of the fight.

terrible decision, valuev never was backed up, wobbled, shaken up, or discouraged. how one judge had it 9-3 in a close fight is beyond me.
however, good to see valuevs win streak end, chagaev will lose against his first tough test (klitschko x 2 , maskaev, peter, toney, briggs, lyakhovich, others??? ) but i have a strange feeling he will be fed DKP fighters just as valuev was. by the way i think valuev won by 1 round

Nah it wasnt a gift decision,i understand if uthink Valuev won,it was hard 2 score, but ders no doubt Chagaev landed the much better punches,Valuev just didnt look good, his punches looked weak,he was just jabbing half the fight

Valuev hit Chag more times with his jab. However Chag hit him with more power shots, and they count more than jabs.

Indeed, I think Chagaev got it maybe by one round, with a couple of rounds going either way. BUt I thought he won. And the fight was quite good. Chagaev showed good chin, stamina and defense as well as good countering skills.

yeah Valuev goes down. I thought Chagaev landed the most effective punches through the whole fight. How could a man that outweighed his opponent by 100 lbs and almost a foot taller lose. When he had Chagaev in the corner he should have thrown more punches. Great that Ruslan won.
