Morales and Arce, I always liked Morales but I rooted against him when he fought Pac because I like Pac more.

Arce is the only one on the list at the top of his game and also very entertaining. He comes to the figth with only one thing in mind, throwing chingazos...

I like both Marquez brother's. I like Rafa the best. He looked great against Vasquez and showed all his skills. Good power for a little guy.

            Great Poll.

For me it has to be Morrales.

At the lower weights because the guys are so much smaller, they are naturally quicker which allows them to ****, slug and brawl alot more, because these fighters are so quick down there there is less time to plan out your shots. Timing has to be precise and countering at times can be pure instinct, rather than intentional because its difficult to time and see what's coming your way. I would cite Marco Antonio Barrera's instinctive countering as an example.

As a result i dont believe you have to be as skilled down in the lower weights as the ones above, i could be wrong, but thats my perception at the moment.

            Morales was the exeception

His skills were just sickening, he was the science at those weights, his shot selection was spot on, he would time uppercuts and jabs precisely, didnt waste too many punches, his movement was spot on.

He could box with the best them, but if he needed to be macho, he could just beat the **** out of you as well.

Even in Pacquaio Fight 3 he was outboxing pac during parts of the fight, he just didnt have the feet anymore to aviod that dangerous left hand.

I Think since he lost to Pac-Man he has been undervauled alot, in my eyes he was the true pound for pound number one over hopkins at the time, simply cos Hopkins' middleweight division was poor, and Morales was moving up weights fighting serious fighters, he even took Carlos hernandez's IBF belt in his 1st fight at 126 i believe? could be wrong.

Whatever the case Morales could hold his own at weights even higher than 130 if he moved up during his prime, he had the skills.

It's sad that he decided to participate in too many wars when he could have added years onto his carrer by being a bit slicker.

Anyways, thats my Pick, Erik Morales.

I'm still scratching my head at "Ismael Vazquez"

My favorite is not on the list: Ricardo "Finito" Lopez. At the lack of him, I voted for Arce, the reason I'm buying the PPV tonight.

Erik Morales. In addition to being one of the very finest boxers of the last 20 or so years, he always gave the fans what they wanted....unlike many of the other names on this list. Morales was always in a war, always going after the hardest fights.

He'll get a lot more respect in time.
