nicolay valuev a all time great?!!

50-0, yea he's not the most exiciting fighter, but he knows how to use what he has, and uses it well, he dosent get in the ring and try to do what he cant, he just wins!

Dino have you started drinking early today? You know, and all the rest of us here at boxingscene know, that Valuev has very far to go to be thought of as an "all time great." His record has more padding than a mattress factory and the good competitive that he has faced, has given him trouble.

Valuev has a long, long, long, way to go to even be mentioned as an 'all time great' let alone, be called a 'top' heavyweight.

Valuev IS an all time great, like it or not. The only reason many of you dislike him or do not approve of him being considered an all time great is because of his extraordinary size. Most ppl like classic boxing. But sadly , that time is done, say hello to the new breed of heavy weights (valuev, klits , etc)

I think only the Klit brothers have a chance in beating him. He can beat everyone else.

Huh???? You would bet the house on him over (in their prime) Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, Rid**** Bowe, Muhammad Ali???? How about betting the porch on him vs George Foreman, Joe Louis, Jack Dempsey? Would you feel comfy betting a door knob on Valuev over Earnie Shavers, Ron Lyle, Sonny Liston?
Tell the truth...you did this to play a joke on all of us, right?

this thread is insane. Who has Valuev fought that would qualify him as a great? Ali fought Foreman, fraiser etc. Several of Valuev's fights were also very questionable decisions. The larry Donald fight was close and his fight with Ruiz could have gone either way. Bottomline 50-0 against pretty much nobody means nothing. If he is able to beat sam peter, either of the klits or even briggs for that matter, then perhaps he will get SOME consideration as a great HW.
