who has to take it to who?

which one is going to have to take the fight to the other? Oscar or Floyd?

is Floyd coming into this fight as the one that has to take it to Oscar or is it the other way around?

which one is looked at as the champion? (not talking about actual belts) Oscar or Floyd? floyd is undefeated but moving up in weight and oscar has been a top caliber for longer who has achieved more than floyd and has been fighting better opposition?(bigger fights)

i think that oscar in this fight would be considered the champ and floyd has to take the fight to him. to me floyd is the one that has something to prove, honestly. not to say that floyd isnt accomplished and a pound for pound top fighter, but oscar has been more established first and for longer.

is floyd's potshoting style enough to win over the judges against a fighter like DLH? or is floyd going to have to be more aggressive and take the action to oscar in order to sway the judges and the crowd? fighting a different style from what we've seen. floyd does have fights that can be on the boring side from time to time.

or is oscar going to have to do the same, be more aggressive and try and prove a point? oscar does have more of a walk'em down kind of style than floyd and has been known to shoeshine to steal rounds, is that going to work against floyd?

    what do ya'll think?

De La Hoya probably needs to fight as the agressor if he wants to win.

If De La Hoya doesn't take the initiative in this fight it's really going to be boring. Floyd will be fearfull of De La Hoya's counter left hook which he'll be looking to set up and land and go to his get in with one pitty pat punch get out routine but alot more sparingly than you've seem him do it in the past. The fight would just be alot of feighnting and 2 guys playing footsy to a contested descision.

Judges should score more 9-9 rounds in fights like that. If nobody does anything, nobody should get a point.

If DLH doesn't come forwad then Floyd will just pick him apart on the outside. Having said that if DLH uses his jab well in the opening rounds he could potentially outbox floy, but it won't last, so he needs to come forward and try to get to Floyd

This will be a chess match. It might be a High speed one or a slow one. It really depends on what each fighter decides to do. I hope we get to see Floyd fight inside the pocket for 12 rounds. That would make for the High Speed fun to watch match. But We might get the move and pot shot Floyd and I dont like his chances if he does this, Floyd has a better chance of winning if he stands in front of Oscar and uses his in fighting. I dont think the judges will give Floyd rounds if he moves a lot.

I honestly believe you're going to see a Mayweather that wants to fight. And he will beat Oscar straight up, without a lot of pop-shotting. Trust me, Floyd will hold his ground on May 5th. This is the biggest fight of his career, and just being a naturally proud person, Floyd will fight an entertaining fight, especially to put in an end to the heat he's been getting for the Baldomir fight. At least I see it being this way for the opening rounds of the fight. And if Floyd's comfortable, and he's winning, you will see him hold is ground and fight back for the entire fight, like he's done time and time again.

what about oscar getting floyd to come forward, drawing back a bit, and using his longer reach with his jab. forcing floyd to try and come leaping in or making floyd try and work his way to the inside and fight there?

my thing is this, everyone that fights floyd, except a few that i can think of , tries to outbox floyd and fight floyds fight. mostly coming forward and floyd ends up having his way with them.

i can't remember when floyd stalked any of his opponents or was on a total offensive attack? he mostly picks apart his opponents due to them playing into his hands, don't get me wrong floyd makes guys fight, but he gets them to fight his fight, he rarely fights outside of his comfort zone, mainly because he controls the action. but if that comfort zone can be breached where ever it is DLH has a good chance at winning, i think anyway?

i don't really care who wins but i see Oscar having a good chance at being the one to give Mayweather his first defeat. i just hope it's a full 12 rounds of quality fighting...............
