Oscar's mental prep and workouts, no doubt, have brought him to the top in this sport. But, didn't he train the same way for Tito, Shane (2 x), and Bernard, and he still lost?
Except for the smaller ring, Reyes gloves, and weight difference, is he adding some new attributes to his arsenal against Floyd? I doubt it.
I'm sure Floyd's opponents watched Floyd numerous times live and on film trying to figure out a way to beat him.
Maybe, there's more to it than just mental, spiritual, and physical preparation to beat the top fighters in the sport.
To his credit, one thing's for sure, Oscar's never been knocked out cold (from a head shot), and his face has never really taken an awful beating from what I've observed.
He can, certainly, be the one to bring out the best in Floyd (Floyd’s A-game), which is what I'm expecting to see on May 5th.
But, it won't be a cake walk for either fighter, I'm sure. It should be tougher than expected.
Rather than looking out for each others’ fists, both Oscar and Floyd should be more concerned about leaving any decisions in the judges’ hands.
Just my two nickels.
