This would be a very interesting fight and it would be difficult to determine who would be the offensive fighter in this bout purely because they are both good at counter punching and defense. I have a feeling Byrd would try to impose his heavyweight experience on Toney and try to rough him up abit. It would be a amazing fight purely because of the styles but i don't think their would be a stoppage on either fighters behalf.

I think this would be Toney/Jones all over again. Byrd would be all over Toney all night!

this would be a boring chess match... both fighters are defensive masters, hard to hit.... it might set a record for fewest punches landed... i'd give the edge to byrd, but only a slight one...

I actually think Byrd would KO Toney late in the fight.

i agree byrd is to fast and would win this..i dont know if by ko thought..but i still say the fight that would cut the weak from the strong worl be:
wlad vs toney (better for boxing right now)

              i say byrd(late ko/tko or UD)...and hope cuz i hate toney

Byrd tko-ing Toney, that is just not possible, just not possible. It would be a very interesting matchup though, I think Toney would have to change his style a bit, he would need to attack, attack attack, if he waited for Byrd to come to him like he can afford to do with other heavyweights he may find himself down on the cards big or not, if he attacked and smothers Byrd than I think it could be an easy fight, that is if Toney can actually adjust to that style. Remember Byrd is 0-2 in his last two fights, lost to vitali although v gave him a gift, was thrashed by Wlad, was kayoed by Ike, are we overateing Byrd a little bit here, yes he is pugilist and its been amzing to witness what he has accomplished in the division but seriuosly anyone in the top ten can beat him, Im not saying that they all will but he is definately being overated.

I can see Toney fighting cheap (Headbuts, Holding and hitting) turning the fight into a close quarters brawl. I give it to Toney by stopage. But the stopage will not be a KO it will go to the scorecard due to an "accidental" butt. The heavyweight division will be a lot better of without Byrd in it. I hope I am wrong and Toney just goes in there and rips him a part and calls him his *****.
