Two days before his first mandatory title defense, undefeated WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev today came face-to-face with Uzbek challenger Ruslan Chagaev. It was a peaceful encounter, though, as both camps tried to play down the importance of the Russian Giantīs enormous 11-inch height advantage. I really hope that this will be Valuev's "break out" performance that hw fans have been waiting for since he won the title. I think that Valuev is looking to impress all his critics including the Klitchkos by dominating start to finish. I'm predicting a mid round KO by the champion. -
Also appearing on this card is European hw prospect Oleg Platov, unfortunately he's fighting a guy who has little or no chance at all in. Freakin prospects don't want to take any risks but want the title shots and big money fights!
