    Valuev Confident of Chgaev Victory

Two days before his first mandatory title defense, undefeated WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev today came face-to-face with Uzbek challenger Ruslan Chagaev. It was a peaceful encounter, though, as both camps tried to play down the importance of the Russian Giantīs enormous 11-inch height advantage. "It has not affected our preparations at all," Valuevīs coach Manuel Gabrielian said at the official press conference. "Niko is used to fighting smaller opponents. It wonīt make a difference for him." [details]

I really hope that this will be Valuev's "break out" performance that hw fans have been waiting for since he won the title. I think that Valuev is looking to impress all his critics including the Klitchkos by dominating start to finish. I'm predicting a mid round KO by the champion.

The headline of the thread makes it sound like valuev is confident that Chagaev will win........

Also appearing on this card is European hw prospect Oleg Platov, unfortunately he's fighting a guy who has little or no chance at all in. Freakin prospects don't want to take any risks but want the title shots and big money fights!

Valuev sucks, only reason he's winning is because hes a giant. And hes not much bigger then the klits, and the klits have something that ape doesn't have. And thats skills

even though I dont wanna see valuev breack the rocks record I would like to see him beat chageav. valuev vs the other champs would be a lot more interesting. if these fights will finally be made of course
