    Most IRONIC happenings in boxing?!?!?!

I thought it was really Ironic that Larry Merchant said, "And it would be nice if we got a good decision as well." right before TRINIDAD-DLH

Whenever announcers start saying that there's very little action, or a slow pace from a fighter - he does something.

Or whenever they start to critisize the pace of a fight - a knockdown happens.

It doesn't happen all the time - but it happens quite a bit.

Especially to Larry Merchant; who has commented on it happening to him.

(I just broke the old world record for using different forms of the word "happen" in a single post.. Look it up.)

when chico was giving castillo a hard time for not making weight and saying he would never fight him and would not speak to him again and then the same thing happened to him.

Before the JMM/Barrera fight he said is it to early to call for a rematch and then the fight was so close there should be a rematch.

In the Torres-Cotto fight when Emmanuel Stewart said "the difference is Torres can take Cotto's best shot" and right there Cotto knocked Torres down.

Tarver making fun of Jones for blaming weight-draining for his poor performance after coming down from heavyweight. Tarver looks like **** against Hopkins ...

I'm not sure if this is irony, because maybe the weight wasn't much of a factor, but Tarver sure was biting his tongue because he left himself without any excuses.

LOL at the Merchant stuff. He's great! Mickey Ward v. Sanchez. Ward was taking such a beating and fighting so poorly that Merchant was yelling for the ref to stop the fight, right before Ward put Sanchez down for the count with a body shot.

The irony of Mayweather beating up Corrales and saying that he did it for all battered women, only to catch a case his damn self. Punk azz!
