Does the size of the fist affects how strong/weak is the fighters punching power?

It can, but it's one of many factors involved in punching. Fighters with weak hands commit less to power....Ali, Mayweather, Calzaghe, ect. Sonny Liston had a 15" fist, one of if not the largest fist in boxing, and he was a formidable puncher, but he had many other fine attributes for punching.

Valuev may have a bigger fist, but is not a big puncher, though he can hurt a fighter enough for a stoppage.

Cotto might have small reach, but his fist is pretty big if you've noticed...

yes it could greatly affect his power if he has a bigger fist.

Punching power isn’t determined by fist size alone factors like technique, timing, speed, body rotation, and overall conditioning play a much bigger role. Fighters like JMM show how changes in strength training and style can influence performance more than physical traits such as hand size. It’s also interesting how athletes’ public images and nicknames evolve alongside these debates, much like trends in sports culture and style covered by Fashion and lifestyle platforms that examine the crossover between athletic performance and identity.
