    Tarver-Muriqui Off!

The light heavyweight match up between Antonio Tarver and Elvir Muriqui on April 22nd at Boradwalk Hall in Atlantic City has been postponed for reasons yet to be disclosed. The bout, which was to be televised by ABC, would have been Tarver’s first fight since his unanimous decision loss to Bernard Hopkins in June 2006. Rumor has it that Tarver is "not in shape for the fight."

    I knew it!!!!

It mistyeriously dissapeared off the schedule so i knew something happened to the fight.

It would be disgraceful if they had to cancel the show because of that. A champ at heart doesnt train lightly for anybody

That sucks I was hoping that boxing was actually gonna be shown on ABC. Could have been good for boxing. Still thought they should have picked somebody else besides Tarver. They probably picked him becasuse he was on Rocky.

Yeah your right in a way I am kind of happy the fight was cancelled. If they do put a fight on ABC they should pick two exciting fighters and a matchup that would be competitive. No Frank Warren type of cards.

I applaud Antonio for pulling out if he didn't feel ready....look, u can hate the guy all u want but he has to go into that ring feeling 100 percent. Do u know what it is to be in a ring? Do u know hat it is to be in there when u your focus is less than stellar? Don't get it messed up, that's a dangerous place in there, my man, and if the guy went in less than ready and got messed up you would be on here dogging him out to no end. Either way he can win it seems so at the end of the day he needs to (and did do) what was best for him, not for you.
