[IMG]http://www.*********.com/chagaev_tv2.jpg[/IMG]Universum heavyweight Ruslan Chagaev has utilized some innovative new training methods for his bid to dethrone seven-foot WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev on Saturday. 11 inches shorter and nearly 100 pounds lighter than Valuev, Chagaev has brought in the world's biggest plasma TV from Panasonic, which at 8 feet wide and 485 pounds has allowed him to watch "The Russian Giant's" fight videos at full size. Valuev-Chagaev takes place at the Porsche Arena in Stuttgart and will be televised in the U.S. by the MSG Network LIVE at 4:30PM ET/1:30PM PT.

I love MSG. They got us MORMECK-BELL II and now this... hopefully they keep bringings us big fights from Europe.

I've been reading about Chagaev's excellent amateur record, for example how at age 19 in 1997 he beat the legendary Felix Savon to win the gold medal in a international boxing tournament. In the pros, he's defeated Ruiz, stopped Sprott, and is the only one to ever beat big Virchis, no easy task.

Very impressive. You know, he just might win this fight with Valuev, and I hope he does. I like Valuev, but he's not the right boxer to break Marciano's record because he's padded his numbers by deliberately choosing too many lower ranked opponents like Beck and Barrett.
