    Rahman returns against Taurus Sykes..

lol, rahman owns himself with this choice... good grief

june 14th, will be on VS.

i wish i had the video of derek brayant knocking out taurus sykes last year... it was a spectacular KO with bryant knocking SYkes down numerous times including once with a flying punch that left bryant face first on the ground...

sykes then wandereed into the crowd all KTFO before returning to the ring

i thought hed retire for sure...

doesent make sense that bryant beat the **** out of this guy and hasnt fought since yet hear is this loser fighting hasim rahman

What a waste of a televise fight, Rachman must need a confidence builder.

Sykes has become an opponet now.His only loss coming into his fight with Sam Peter was a six round decision loss to Owen Beck. Then he was flattened by Peter and then ko'd in his fight with Derek Bryant which I don't really recall but was probably a pick em coming in.Now after two ko losses he has become an opponet. It should be an easy night for Rahman but when it comes to Rock you never know.Might get outboxed by The Bull.As much as I like Rahman it would be kind of funny. It's always funny when the opponet gets the upset.

sykes was a small favorite over bryant, i recall cause i bet some money on it

as i stated in the initial post sykes was knocked out much more emphatically than he was by peter

This is a good tune-up for "the Rock" since his embarrassing loss to Maskaev last summer. I just hope Rahman doesn't think that a win over Sykes is enough to get him a title shot or eliminator bout.

I agree. These mismatches are bad for the sport of boxing. I was hoping a contender like Lyakhovich or Brock would face him, or even Vitali, or an up and comer like Dimitrenko.

JD all this is, is a tune-up for Rahman. This is a common strategy for 'come-backing' or fighters coming off tough loses. Both Holyfield and Mesi are doing it now.

Plus, Rahman is in no position to take a 'risky' fight; if he loses then he's out of the title picture and as good as chopped liver. He'll probaby take an easy fight or two then step up to better competition.
