    ------->BOXING world RECORDS<--------

Throughout the generations of Boxing there have been many great records set in history lets look below to someone of those that come to mind...

What are some of your thoughts on those accomplishments.
Please feel free to add many more that I have missed.

    ----------------------

MIKE TYSON - At the age of 20 and 4 month - the youngest man to have won a heavyweight title

GEORGE FOREMAN - He became, at the age of 45, the oldest fighter ever to win the world Heavyweight crown, and, 20 years after losing his world title for the first time, he broke the record for the fighter with the most time in between one world championship run and the next

JOE LOUIS - He held the title over 11 years and made a record 25 successful heavyweight title defenses

OSCAR DE LA HOYA - He is the only fighter in the history of boxing to win world titles in six weight classes. Also is the richest athlete in boxing history

ROCKY MARCIANO - The only heavyweight champion in boxing history to retire without a defeat or a draw in his professional career with 49 professional wins

ROY JONES JR. - Became the first fighter to start his career as a light middleweight and win a heavyweight title

NIGEL BENN - Most consecutive KO victories in the shortest time. 11KOs in 9 month

NICOLAI VALUEV - Is the tallest and the heaviest fighter to ever win a title

WILFREDO BENITEZ - Credited as the youngest world champion in boxing history

EVENDER HOLYFIELD - Is the only fighter to win the heavyweight crown 5 times

ARCHIE MOORE - Holds the record for the most knockouts by any boxer, at 145

VITALI KLITSCHKO Has the highest knock out percentage (92%) of any champion. Out of 35 wins, 34 of those came by the way of KO or TKO

JIMMY BARRY - Has the most bouts of a retired champion without a defeat, 70

OLIVER McCALL / VITALI KLITSCHKO / NIKOLAI VALUEV - The only three heavyweight champions who have never been knocked down in a professional fight

    ------------------
Does anyone know who had the longest reign before tasting defeat? (I know it's not JCC)
    Fastest Knock Out?

How about most professional rounds fought (this is gonna be a tough one to get)
This should get us started.. post any other boxing records you know of

I think hopkins owns the fastest knockout in a title fight, although I might be wrong.

I found this. Ricardo Lopez holds the record for most consecutive title bouts without a loss at twenty-six title.
