    Dmitry Salita VS CHavez Jr.

I think this would be a great match between both prospects, it can show the step up of chavez and stop teh hating on him fighting bums. I would say this could happen by early 08.

I think Salita is tailor made for Chavez to give a beating. I think with his hard body shots alone he will tko salita in 7 out of a 10 round fight

I think JCC Jr. would slaughter Salita. I understand why a lot of people are down on Chavez - protected resume and gets more exposure due to his bloodlines - but Salita is even worse, and perhaps even more overhyped.

I'm actually a fan of JCC's (as tomorrow's column will show), which is saying a lot considering I never rooted for his father. I think he's shown great improvement in a short amount of time, whereas Salita levelled off long ago and will eventually have no choice but to cash out a lot sooner than he planned (unless of course, this was the plan, all along).

I'd like to see Chavez eventually face someone like a Gato Figueroa, who can provide a stern test and, if not pull of the upset, at least let Jr. know that he's been in a fight.

He probably would. I'd certainly pick him to beat Edgar Santana (as much as Ernesto Dallas would like to hear otherwise). On paper I'd pick him to beat Gato, but overlooking him could easily cost you the fight.

Salita is overhyped/overrated BIG TIME! He's the WW version of the Great White Hope.

Salita has never fought anyone but a no-pulse tomato can. He might as well be about to fight his 5th pro fight.

            JCC Jr KO4.
