What ever happened to Calzaghe saying this was his breakthru fight, and hes heading overseas? I dont blame Joe,if anything its Frank,we could have had Haye-Mac but Frank ****ed that up too because he wanted Haye to sign a 3 fight deal with him i think

Taylor made over 3 mil against Ouma and he's making around the same against Spinks, why would Taylor accept 1.6 mil to fight Cal in his hometown.

The only way Taylor may accept fighting Calzaghe in UK is if they offer him at least 6 mil.

Taylor does not need Calzaghe, he makes over 3 mil in every fight, I bet he will make over 5 mil against the winner of Miranda/Pavlik, Calzaghe is the one that needs Taylor, so Calzaghe should get his ass in America if he wants to fight Taylor.

I thought Calzaghe wants to fight in America for the first time in his career, I guess I was wrong!

Actually they are now saying the offer will be $3 million, still below what Taylor usually makes.

these are two of the biggest names in the sport.

this is almost a superfight. not on DLH-Mayweather level, but still big.

Why would Taylor except a paycut to fight his biggest threat IN that threats backyard?

Thats like having a business man, making 100,000 bucks a year, being offered a job as a construction worker. Much harder work and much less money.

He should get 4 million or more

I doubt Taylor made near $3mill against Hopkins and Wright, because they would have had half the purse as well, whereas that Ouma guy wouldn't have had ****.

If he cant fight Taylor in London, he needs to fight ANYONE in America.
Just to show that he is serious about wanting to fight a big name.

Another no-name fight in the UK would do nothing for his reputation because no one would give a ****.

                    I doubt it..

James Toney never used to make millions of dollars for fights when he was IBF champ back in the day.
