Clottey not ranked in WBC top 40!

    Read for yourself

This is ridiculous. Not only is he not ranked in the top 15 of the WBA and IBF, but he's not even in the WBC's top 40 ranked contenders! I guess he won't be fighting Miguel Cotto anytime soon, eh?

Only the WBO has him ranked at #4. This is embarrassing for the alphabet organizations.

Tough break. But I'm sure everyone knows that he's no pushover.

Yes, but he gets no respect. After a good performance against Margarito and a very entertaining one-sided fight against Corrales (who should be at 140, if you ask me), this man is still not considered even a fringe contender by most alphabet orgs.

he probably hasn't paid any sanctioning fees to those organizations.

Anybody sane in boxing would have to have Clottey in the top 10.

This just makes the Alphabet organisations even more of a joke.

PS. The Ring has him at #9

Fighnews had Clottey at 10, but I think it was prior to the Corrales bout.

The alphabet orgs are a joke. They're corrupt and care only about the $$$.

I have Clottey ranked at #6 as a WW:

              Floyd
              Margo
              Cotto
              Mosley
              Cintron
              Clottey
              Baldy
              Williams
              Judah
              Urkal

These organizations are just a joke and a detriment to boxing...no news there.

Mostly agree with your rankings, PRboxingfan

                  I've got:

                  Floyd
                  Mosley
                  Margarito
                  Cotto
                  Cintron
                  Clottey
                  Baldomir
                  Judah
                  Williams
                  Urkal

Even though I'd expect Judah to easily beat Baldomir the 2nd time round, you've got to give him credit for the win.
