Will De La Hoya's "conditions" affect the outcome?

I mentioned in a previous thread the wonder that is Oscar De La Hoya.

Aside from telling Mayweather "..smile for me now brother.." as he stabs him in the dressing room - what has De La Hoya not done to insure himself victory?

Will all these stipulations help Oscar get the win?

Or was Mayweather right to ignore any percieved advantage the gloves, ring size, weight, and venue may give De La Hoya?

My feeling is that the smaller guy needs every advantage he can get - even if he's 'Mr. P4P' Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Many folks don't think Mayweather could beat De La Hoya on equal ground.

Can he do it in a slanted ring?..

Tell me what are the conditions that De La Hoya demanded. I am curious. Specific.

        They will, definitely.

Gloves- May hurt Floyd in two ways. He can get hit harder, and also break his brittle hands. It's a double edged sword with no handle to grip.

Ring Size- Minimizes the amount of dancing that Floyd can do in the ring-- His best asset. He is a mobile defensive fighter. No turtle shell, Winky ****. H has to move to dodge.

Weight recquirements- More precautions on Oscars part. This will bog Floyd down.

As far as I'm aware Oscar has stipulated that the ring be smaller, that the weight be at 154 (obviously), and that both fighters use Reyes gloves.

Mayweather's history of damaged hands and his preference for Winning gloves are one of the focus points for me.

I thought PBF was a Boxing liabilty with anything else on his hands..

DLH also chose the venue - although that should mean very little.

How many feet is the ring going to be though? This is important.

Isn't the gloves thing kind of bull**** then? Because the only people you will be screwing with demanding one type of gloves besides Floyd are the fans. Because if Floyd breaks his hands due to some gloves and we don't get to see the best possible fight, it will hurt boxing.

I agree - but I don't have access to that information.

The smaller ring was referred to by a writer for "7" magazine in a sidebar.
