what weight should I fight at 147,154, or 160????

i mean im a natural 147 welterweight im 6 feet tall. and alot of ppl tell me Its better if i fight at 147 because im a big welterweight and I have good punching power and will have a big advantage over alot of welters. but i dunno right now Im walkin around at like 150-152lb's. should I just make my debut at 154lb's. or even 160???? any advice????

me and you are in teh same boat...except i'm walking around at 154. i drop down to welterweight (147) for my last fight though. i think it's probably best especially since you're so tall you have that reach advantage. What i say is, if you train to fight like an outside fighter, then you should weigh as little as possible so you can fight the shorter guys.

By the way, i crushed my opponent with a TKO in the first 30 seconds of the third because i used my reach. It definatly recomend you dropping down to 147. It has huge advantages.

I would fight at the lightest weight I could comfortably make.

No question 147. Unless you can make 140.

            I'm 5"7 and I walk around at 135.

I'm not in shape at all. How far u think I could get down to?

            Maybe 122 at Jr. Featherweight?

How much of a height advantage would I have at 122? (5"7)

well at 122. thats pretty low. 5'7, i mean a little advantage i guess, but 5'4 is about the average height in those low weights. like 122, 126.

I'm pretty sure I could get down to featherweight easily and then drain my fluids I might make 122.

                I'd be fighting little midgets.

haha i cant imagine my self fighting at 122. I would win every fight by 1st round death.

Most ppl at my school (14-18) who are around 122 lbs in shape or not are about 5'5 to 5'6 on average. So there would not be a HUGE height advantage
