I said Clottey would handle Diego comfortably. Diego is past it. Some of you are thinking he still is even 90% of what he used to be before Castillo. Fact is, Corrales was never the same after the Castillo fights and never will be the same.

Diego put on one of the greatest performances in boxing history against Castillo, is the only man to beat Popo, holds a win over Casamayor, destroyed Angel Manfredy, knocked out Smoke Gainer, came from behind to stop Roberto Garcia. He got off the canvas five times against Mayweather, twice against Castillo, three combined times against Casamayor, and his run of Casamayor, Casamayor, Freitas, Castillo, Castillo, Casamayor, Clottey is a testament to the size of his heart, love of the sport and bravery in the ring.

Moral of the story? If Diego decides to fight on, than he has certainly earned the right to do so, and if he chooses to retire, then he has nothing left to prove. Either way it's been a hell of a career. I'll see you in the Hall Chico.
