a rematch is unnecessary. calzaghe won, albeit cuz of a horrible stoppage, but he dominated the few rounds.

Why would he deserve a rematch? At no point was it close, yes it was a bull**** stoppage but it seemed obvious Joe was gonna knock him out sooner or later. Rematch=Manfredo getting his ass handed to him again.

You just assume joe would have won. They never gave manfredo a chance. Joe is a *****, not once did he even bruise manfredos face. If you weren't a biased person, you would see the so called bum manfredo landing some heavy shots in the beginning of the fight. At no time was calzaghe throwing shots that looked like it could knock anyone out.

NO, it was Manfredo the one who never gave himself a chance. Every boxer knows the way things are going today, if a guy is beating you every round and has you on the ropes landing all kinds of shots on you and you're not punching back you're risking the fight getting stopped.
