Hamburg, Germany - Jr. middleweight Lukas Konecny stopped tough Frenchman Serge Vigne in seven of a scheduled non-title ten rounder that headlined SESī show at the Universum gym. Vigne was down twice in the fifth and again in the seventh before it was stopped at the fourth knockdown but the Frenchman had his moments, especially in the second when he scored with wide hooks from both hands. Lukas was cut above the right eye. There has been some rumors that Konecny will be the opponent for WBO champ Sergey Dzinziruk for May 19 but the plan is apparently for Lukas to challenge EBU ruler Michele Piccirillo in what also will be a WBO eliminator and then go for Dzinziruk.
