after he's shut out for 12 rounds ot KO'D in the mid to later rounds where does he go from here? does he drop down in weight and see what he can do at middleweight or does he and take on somebody like duddy or does he stay at super middleweight?
After Manfredo loses, where does he go?

He'll be in the same position as before the fight, as no-one really belives he will win, minus a fight against the top SMW -
He'll be higher regarded if he is able to go the distance.
Like, he'll be able to take on guys like Duddy and pavlik and Abraham if he pushes for those fights.
And, since he's not in his prime yet, the Calzaghe fight will be a huge learning experience for him. He'll mature like overnight and i think he'll be able to beat some of those guys.
DUDDY-MANFREDO at a catch-weight is an excellent fightComment

its a win win situation for him. even after he looses his statis is raised.
making it into the later rounds could make general boxing fans fawn on him
even more, look at the posts on this site.
but calzaghe so far with his padded record is the weakest of champs in my eyes till he fights a top tier champ like kessler.
figure manfredo will be relagated to being a money making tuneup fighter for the top contenders.Comment

I disagree with many posters on this.. What if Calzaghe puts a "Lacy-esche" beating on Manfredo? Surely, this is not a win-win situation for Peter. Let's hope the beating is short....Comment
