from what i've seen joe is bigger, faster, more powerful and has better boxing skills...

its pretty hard to give manfredo a shot but a lot of people are backing him (in his team)

Joe Calzaghe has fought plenty of good fighters, so your post just displays a lack of knowledge. Simply put, Manfredo is out of his depth. Calzaghe is a huge step up in class for him, and a big loss to Clazaghe may actually be detrimental to Manfredos development. That said, it was probably too good of an opportunity to pass up for Manfredo, and would have been his only realistic chance to face Calzaghe, but if i'm honest i'd say that Calzaghe will stop him in the middle rounds.

Sorry, but thats a ****** post.
Lacy doesnt count??? Its not that he beat him, its the fact he beat the ever loving piss outa him that counts.
Eubank, Ried, Mitchel, Brewer, Veit, Shieka. All have fought at world championship level, and Joe beat them all. He is undefeated.

By ur reasoning, who has Manfredo beaten?
He has been beaten by Mora twice at middleweight. And who the **** is Mora??
        Just use some common sense.

But it does have all the making of a huge upset.
Maybe Calzaghe will break both his hands and get disqualified.

I'm a huge manfredo fan and I really want to see him win, but we gotta be honest with ourselves, Calzaghe is just too superior for manfredo, but I'll give manfredo a puncher's chance at best. I think Calzaghe will take this one, by either a wide UD or late TKO.

For what it's worth, the odds opened at Calzaghe -2500 (which I thought was absurd) and at last check were closer to JC -900. Quite a bit of change thrown at Peter, thought it could just be gamblers preferring such odds.

The only edge Peter has over Joe is his chin and heart, and even that is debatable. Manfredo's never been in there with a true ****er - the closest was a faded version of Scott Pemberton. Joe's the better boxer, better puncher, has faster hands, better defense, better foot work, superior ring generalship - I mean how far down the list do we need to go in order to give Peter a chance.

Rooting for him is in line w/ HBO's Douglas-Tyson "anything can happen on any given night" mindset. Maybe Joe is faded enough (perhaps grew old overnight) to where it's a more interesting fight. I expect Peter to throw everything he has into this; but I'd be shocked if it were legitimately competitive, never mind Peter ****ing around and actually winning.

You're an idiot. If Calzone was anything but a good euro fighter, he wouldn't be fighting a circus joke like Frodo. PERIOD. That shows exactly what kind of fighter Calzone is. He is a coward through and through.

Some of you are so ill-informed. Frodo has a puncher's chance? What in the hell in his history makes you even dream of that?

How does stating his best opponents compared to Manfredo's opponents make me an idiot?
That fact that u cannot grasp the content of a simple post stating facts suggests ur as dumb as ****. :wank: :wank:
