    Will Mayweather.....

Ever fight a top fighter in his prime?

Dela Hoya's best days are past him.

    Diego Corrales
    Jose Luis Castillo I
    Jose Luis Castillo II
    Jesus Chavez
    Zab Judah

and some very solid contenders in their prime:

    Carlos Hernandez
    Angel Manfredy
    Philip N'dou
    DeMarcus Corely
    Victoriano Sosa
    Goyo Vargas
    Carlos Gerena
    Justin Juuku

Not to mention (fighters not in their PRIME, PRIME) but nonetheless still world class fighters, such as:

    Genero Hernandez
    Arturo Gatti
    Oscar De La Hoya

Then you throw in the names:

    Sharmba Mitchell
    Tony Pep
    Carlos Baldomir
    Emanuel Augustus

and I don't care what you say, you have a pretty ****ing good resumé. In fact, when you look at the list of names that Floyd has beat at 130, you could make a very solid argument that Floyd is the best Jr. Lightweight ever.

Sure, Floyd's resume has lost a significant amount of steam over the last few years, but it's still nothing to sneeze at. And a lot of the fights that didn't get made, are not entirely Floyd's fault. Just ask Hatton.

He did after all dominate one of the best versions of Zab Judah that I have ever seen. It was definitely the Zab Judah that was undisputed WelterWeight champion, just one fight prior.

And he also pitched a shutout against a very underrated Carlos Baldomir, becoming the legitimate, ring, lineal WelterWeight champion of the world (His 4th weight class).

And now he's fighting Oscar De La Hoya, who is still a great fighter. Sure Mayorga isn't the greatest of opponents, but the way Oscar dominated him in a way, that even surpassed Tito's whooping.

Haters will always be haters, but it's undeniable that Floyd has one of the best resumes in boxing.

It's to bad mayweather let's people get to him. That's probaly what makes him An . He could of been the greatest of all time If he kept his disgusting mouth shut. Get rid of his idiot uncle, and his loud mouth hard to understand father. What in the hell was Delahoya thinking when training with Floyde Sr?. Another thing that bother's me is the mean muggin *******'s that hang around mayweather. These people are nobodies living threw mayweather. Mayweather will be runnin from DeLahoya Like Roy Jones JR did in his fight with James Toney .

i was just showing how ****** those sort of threads are.

the fact is, not many people gave hatton a chance against kostya tsyzu,
then afterwards they labelled kostya way past his best.

theres only one fighter hatton could beat that might shut the detractors
up and thats floyd mayweather jr. its a sad state of affairs

well in that case i better go put a bet on mayweather to win a almost shut out fight in which he totally outclass his opponent :d
