Arthur Abraham Aiming For May Return

IBF middleweight champ Arthur Abraham is looking to return to the ring in late May with a voluntary defense of the title against an opponent to be announced. Abraham will then - if all goes well - take on Edison Miranda in a much anticipated rematch. "King" Arthur won their first fight under controversial circumstances but suffered a broken jaw and has been out since September. Abrahamīs return - May 26 is reportedly the working date - could also feature EBU ruler Amin Asikainenīs oft postponed mandatory defence of the belt against Sebastian Sylvester. Asikainen is currently in training camp on the island of Tenerife. [details]

He's just trying to stay away from Miranda, that's all. Miranda would love to fight him again so long as it's on neutral ground (i.e. not in Germany). I think Miranda easily wins the rematch (I had him winning the first fight, even with the point deductions).

Abraham will eventually get KO'd by Pavlik after he loses to Miranda in May.

      Unforgettable fight

The Miranda-Abraham fight in 2006 was truly a war in every sense of the word. I have a lot of respect for Abraham, for fighting in severe pain from his broken jaw, and still managing to win a decision.

Good to see he is coming back. It will be interesting to see how the jaw holds up. I am sure they will test it with a feather fisted guy, but at least we will see how gun shy he is or isn't.

Oh, hush. He'll come back and continue being the warrior that he has proven himself to be. You act as if Miranda has scarred him for life.

C'mon let's not start this. You had Trinidad beating De La Hoya too I bet.

I would rather see Miranda/Taylor, but Taylor will probably take a fight with somebody else. So Miranda/Abaraham would be the next best thing. I didn't see the first fight, but some say he was robbed others said Abraham outboxed him. Would like to see Pantera get his revenge.

You should watch it. Very odd things take place. But turn off the volume. The crowd was 100% for Abraham and very loud. Every punch he throw (whether it was blocked, missed or connected) they went wild. I think many people were sold on the crowd's reaction eventhough Abraham missed alot of his shots.

Miranda better worry about Pavlik and not get upset.

But in the same way Jermain can't look past Spinks cuz if he still is sharp at 160 he could give Jermain some trouble.
