i agree, after losing to wlad peter has beat nobody but toney... toney doesnt have ONE SIGNIFICANT win at heavyweight... i dont think it matters though, we all know oleg is going to lose to whomever he fights and that VK/Peter was going to happen anyways...

      That's the organizations for you.

Vitali earned the "champion emeritus" title by the WBC for having one of the worst title "reigns" ever.

He won a vacant title, beat Danny Williams, and postponed or cancelled his Rahman bout 4 times before retiring.

Hopefully Maskaev vs. Peter is held on the June 2nd date in Moscow instead of pushing it back. I hate to get pissed at Vitali but this is kind of like the Rahman situation, postponing fights again. I don't know what to think of Vitali's comeback now. He must really be unsure of himself now for some reason...
would u want to throw out 2 million plus dollars or just wait a few more months and not have to pay that?

I agree with you Leo but he should have never tried to get the fight in the first place if this was gonna happen. Vitali has some making up to do and this is a bad start.

I knew Vitali would pull something like this...He's the biggest primadonna of the sport. Wastes everyone's time trying to setup a mega fight and then he bails because "he needs more time" or is "injured." Frankly, I hope he loses his tune-up fight and goes back into obscurity.
